The healing potential of aloe vera has been known since times immemorial. Aloe exerts unmistakably soothing effects on the skin. Using aloe vera has rapidly become one of the best natural means to get relief from acne without having to visit the doctor.

Aloe vera is known to speed up the healing process, help relieve the pain, redness, and inflammation associated with acne outbreaks. Aloe vera also has antibacterial properties that help speed up the process of clearing up of the acne and also prevent infection from continuing. However, it is important to realize that it is never wise to use aloe vera to treat deeper lesions or severely infected lesions as the healing process is slower in these instances. And it is not wise to apply any topical preparations in these instances without medical recommendation. It is in these cases that Aloe vera capsules come in handy as they are taken orally and are not applied directly to the skin. It would always be wise to use an oral preparation of aloe vera for its systemic benefits beyond superficial effects.

Aloe vera is often available as a spray, liquid, gel, lotion, cream or capsule. These preparations can be availed without a doctor's prescription. Before buying an aloe preparation make sure that the ingredients contain the highest potency of aloe and are free from additives. Make sure that you do not accidentally get the creams, lotions or sprays into the eyes.

One more precaution to take when using a topical preparation of aloe is to test whether you are allergic to it. Just apply a small amount of the preparation to a small area of the skin and wait for 5-10 minutes. If there is no reaction then you are not allergic. If you develop any redness or itch then you might be allergic to the product (not necessarily the aloe but could be any of the additives). Wash off with warm water and then seek a medical opinion.

The bottom-line is that Aloe vera works wonderfully well for acne lesions and is an effective home remedy for acne sufferers. Oral Aloe vera is an attractive alternative to fight acne outbreaks and also prevent recurrences plus taking aloe orally offers a multitude of systemic benefits.

Herbal Cancer Treatment - ALOE VERA

Aloe Vera - Photo  by oliver.savage
Aloe is indigenous to Africa but it is being cultivated all over the world. The best well known and common species of aloe is of course aloe vera, but actually there over 300 other species of aloe. Aloe Vera has been used for treatments and as a remedy since ancient times. Aloe is mostly safe to use for humans both topically and orally and is reported to be non-toxic even when injected in high doses.

Aloe has been studied extensively in Japan, Russia and also in Madagascar. There is a lot of evidence that aloe is useful as a non-specific immune stimulator and immune modulator. Not only is aloe a potential adjuvant therapy for cancer, it is also valuable for patients who immune functions have been compromised by mainstream therapies.

In studies carried out in 1980 and 1981 at the Pasteur Institute in Madagascar, the researchers found out that mice given a hypodermic injection of unrefined Aloe vahombe extract were all safe against infection caused by Listeria monocytogenes, the bacteria Klebsiella pneumoniae, Yersinia pestis, Candida albicans fungus and Plasmodium berghei parasites. In 1988 it was found that aloe inhibited the metabolism of arachidonic acid. One product of this acid suppresses the activity of immune cells that are part of the body's surveillance against cells of the cancer.

An evaluation of antimetastatic properties of aloe[ usefulness in potentiating the effectiveness of chemotherapy was carried out by two Russian researchers. They found out from their research that aloe treatment contributed to a reduction of the mass of the tumor, metastasis frequency and metastatic foci at different stages of tumor progress without affecting major tumor growth, using three types of experimental tumors in rats and mice.

S.Y. Peng in another animal study found that acemannan increased sarcomabearing mice survival. Acemannan, in both highly purified and enriched forms, was administered intraperitoneally to mice to which murine sarcoma cells had been subcutaneously implanted. The invasive, highly malignant and rapidly growing sarcoma grew in 100% of implanted control animals. This resulted in in mortality in 20 to 46 days. About 40% of animals treated with acemannan at the time of implantation of the tumor cell (1.5 x 10(6) cells) survived.

Over 350 non-toxic natural and alternative treatments that have helped thousands of people beat their cancer. Over 2,000 testimonials! Success rates for surgery, chemo and radiation revealed! How to Make Your Own ALOE VERA Moisturizer

Aloe has been known in the cosmetic industry as an effective treatment for acne and dry flaky skin. It contains healing and soothing properties to help heal sunburned skin no wonder a lot of sunscreens use aloe as one of the active ingredients. Making your own aloe vera moisturizer at home is very easy and you don't have to worry about harsh chemicals that can cause allergic reactions to your skin. If you want a simple moisturizer, you can mix one part of raw aloe vera gel to one part of mineral or distilled water. Heat this mixture in a double boiler until it forms into a cream. This is great for dry, sore or sunburned skin. You can apply it on your elbows, knees or any rough skin in your body.

An aloe vera moisturizer is also great when used as an anti-aging cream. We all know how expensive anti-aging products are and most of them do not really work. We get carried away by advertisements and we just end up throwing away our hard-earned money and being disappointed. To make your own at home, you need:

- 1 tbsp. Aloe Vera gel

- 1 tbsp. beeswax

- 2 tbsp. lanolin

- 2 tbsp. rose water

- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

- 2 to 3 drops of essential oil (lavender, orange, lemon or rose)

Combine the lanolin and beeswax together, melt them in the microwave for about 30 to 40 seconds. Mix the olive oil and aloe vera gel in a large bowl using a wire whisk. The aloe will help hydrate the skin, it also contains plumping agents to keep the skin looking young. With regular use, your wrinkles will be less visible. Combine the two mixtures together with the use of a rubber spatula. Beat until you get a very smooth consistency. Add the rose water and the essential oil. Keep beating until the aloe vera moisturizer is thick and creamy.

Pour the mixture into a clean jar that you can tightly seal. You can use and store the moisturizer for up to 4 weeks. Use it every morning and night after cleansing and toning your face.

ALOE VERA and Cancer

English: Bud of aloe vera flowers

As I earlier said that nature always has a cure for the diseases it creates. And one such recently discovered natural cure of cancer is found in Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera is plant grown in the African countries and is known for centuries to counter a million diseases including cancer.

You have 200 different types of cell in your body, which usually all life, grow and multiply in harmony. For example, you always have just the right number of liver cells and white blood cells because there are many different signals that control how much and how often your cells divide. If any of these signals are faulty or missing, a cell may start to grow and multiply too much - the beginning of cancer. This can happen in almost any type of cell, anywhere in your body. That's why there are many types of cancer like breast cancer, cervix cancer, etc, each word refers to the place where the uncontrolled growth has taken place.

We don't need to discuss cancer here, as most of you reading this article are already suffering or have a kin who is suffering from cancer. What we need to discuss is the natural cure for cancer that is Aloe Vera and how it can cure cancer.

It is clear from research conducted throughout the world over the past thirty years that Aloe vera and, in particular, certain specific substances in the plant - have very dramatic and impressive anti-cancer effects. Aloe Vera has been demonstrated to enhance the immune system's response to cancer, promote the growth of new and healthy cells, and reduce the overall viral load within the body thereby revitalizing the body in its fight against cancer.

Research has shown that Aloe vera use can double the number of both "killer" and "helper" T-cells within three weeks and at the same time reduce the P-24 core antigen - the overall indicator of viral load in the body. Interferon and interleukin production is stimulated, attacking cancer and viruses in the body. Lectins and emodines are two anti-tumor chemicals in Aloe vera which, along with an increase in the tumor necrosis factor brought about by Aloe vera, begin to destroy malignant cancer tumors.

So..less tumors mean less cancer. It said that the body is always fighting with cancer tumors, but these are miniatures and have no effect on the body. This means that everyone around suffers from mild cancer. But it is only when these cells multiply uncontrollably its called cancer.

You can consume Aloe Vera as a juice extracted from the leaf of the plant, but the recommended method is to take in aloe vera supplements. You can consider taking Aloe Vera supplements.

Using HERBS to Relieve Hemorrhoids - Aloe Vera, Bilberry and Butcher"s Broom

To relieve hemorrhoids first look for ways to get your bowels moving easier and more frequently so they produce softer stools. I have suggested ways, in other articles, to do this by changing your diet.

Any straining and puffing you do to push hard or even soft stools out during a bowel movement will aggravate your hemorrhoids and can lead to bleeding and pain.

Aloe Vera in HDR

When completing a bowel movement, make sure you are using the softest tissue available so that when you clean yourself you don’t scrape or aggravate your hemorrhoids. You can also use a pre-moisten tissue. Just make sure that the tissue you use is not colored or scented because these chemical additives can aggravate your hemorrhoids. You may have to take a shower a couple times a day to keep your rectum area clean.

Here are three natural remedies that you can use to aid in eliminating your hemorrhoids.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera gel is an astringent that helps to heal open wounds. It is useful in hemorrhoids by applying the gel directly onto your anus. The best type of gel for this is directly from the aloe plant. If you don’t have one, then 100% organic whole leaf aloe gel is second best. You can get this organic aloe at a health food or nutrition store.

If you have a fresh plant, wash a leaf thoroughly with distilled water. Peel it on one side, bend it with the peeled side outward, and slip it into your anus. This will provide you with pain relief and reduce your hemorrhoid bleeding. Just trim down the leaf so it slides into your anus easily.

Aloe Vera juice, that you drink, is also good for hemorrhoids. It helps to soften your stools and to activate peristaltic action. If you like aloe juice, then drink around 1/2 a cup of Aloe Vera juice three time a day.

You can add 1/4 or 1/3 part aloe juice to a cup of apple juice to make the taste easier to handle. To make this aloe-apple juice more effective, add 10 drops of barberry extract.

Barberry is an astringent for blood vessel congestion along the colon and rectum. It will improve blood circulation; it stimulates the immune system to resist disease, and will tone body tissues. It also is capable of stopping bleeding hemorrhoids.

Blaeberry (Bilberry) in Flower

Bilberry’s active ingredients are flavanoids. Bilberry contains chemical called “anthocyanosides.” This fruit like herb has been used in Europe for a long time. In clinical studies, it has shown to be effective in treating weak capillaries by strengthening their walls.

Buy the 25% standardized formula and take 100 mg three times a day of bilberry. Bilberry will give you hemorrhoid relief.

Butchers Broom. Ruscus aculeatus

Butcher’s Broom

Butcher’s broom, an evergreen bush, has a history of being used for varicose veins and hemorrhoids. As an extract, it contains “ruscogenins”, which can narrow blood vessels and decrease their inflammation and swelling. It strengthens and tones veins and capillary walls. Take 100 mg of butcher’s broom three times a day. Use the type that has 9-11% ruscogenins.

Now you can use either of the three herbal remedies for hemorrhoid relief. If one is not working to good, try the other. Once you have gotten the hemorrhoid relief that you want stop using the herbal remedy.

ALOE VERA - A Miracle Plant

The Aloe vera plant is an African succulent that is popular in folk remedies. Today, you can find Aloe vera outside Africa since it is a popular garden plant, especially in dry areas where gardens must be created with the climate in mind. Aloe vera is also commercially cultivated all over the world to be used in folk medicines. Outside Africa, you will find the largest Aloe vera farms in the Mediterranean region, the United States, the Caribbean and Japan. An Aloe vera plant will also do well indoors, but keep in mind that it can grow very large and need re-potting.

Aloe Vera - Photo by arijitg
Just like all the other succulent plants, the Aloe vera can store large amounts of water. This is an adaptation to a life in regions susceptible to droughts. Wild Aloe vera is commonly found in regions that experience large temperature differences between day and night. When the dew falls, the Aloe vera can absorb the moist and use it to survive. The Aloe vera will store water in its large fleshy leaves. Inside an Aloe vera leaf, you will find a clear jellylike liquid. This liquid forms the base of the Aloe vera juice that is so popular in folk medicine. If you grow your own Aloe vera plant, you can use the gel directly instead of converting it into Aloe vera juice. The gel is for instance used on minor injuries and burns since many people find it soothing and pain relieving. It also has antibacterial properties.

Aloe vera can also be used internally, but the scientific studies regarding its affects on the human body is still limited and internal Aloe vera treatments should therefore always be embarked on with caution. Discussing the treatment with a licenses medical professional is recommended. Internal Aloe vera treatment is popular among patients suffering from heartburn, ulcers, diverticular disorders and other digestive problems. It is suspected that the antibacterial property of the Aloe vera is the cause of the relief reported by many patients.

In commercially available Aloe vera remedies, it is usually Aloe vera juice that forms the active ingredient. If you by low-quality Aloe vera remedies, they might not have been made from pure Aloe vera juice. If other parts of the plant enter the remedy, the treatment can act as a strong laxative. This effect is cause by the so called Aloe vera latex that is located in special cells, the so called pericyclic tubules, which are found along the inner skin of the Aloe vera leaf. Proper processing methods are necessary to ensure that no latex enter the Aloe vera juice. If you experience unwanted laxative effects or cramps when using medications containing Aloe vera, you should refrain from using it and try to find a better manufacturer that can provide you with high-quality Aloe vera products.

Never use Aloe vera internally if you are currently using oral corticosteroids, since Aloe vera will interact with this medication. Beclomethasone, Prednisone and Methylprednisolone are three common examples of oral corticosteroids. The combination can cause potassium deficiency and poisoning.

Psyllium will also be affected by the active compounds in Aloe vera, and combining the two remedies are therefore unadvisable. If you still choose to do so, you should make sure that you never ingest them simultaneously. Allow at least two hours to pass before you take the second drug.

Uses Of ALOE VERA In Modern And Folk Medicines

The healing benefits of aloe vera have been recorded throughout the world's history for thousands of years, but only recently has modern medicine placed the "miracle plant" under laboratory investigation and began to unlock the deep secrets of aloe's amazing chemical composition.

Aloe vera
Aloe vera (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Aloe has such unique healing abilities, proven scientifically, like no other plant. There have been many studies on aloe. The key ingredient in aloe vera is mucopolysaccharides [MPS] (long-chain sugars) that have very strong antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-tumor and immunomodulatory properties proven scientifically. Many articles on aloe's remarkable healing abilities were published in the most prestigious medicinal magazines.

Even if you think it is easier just to buy a commercial aloe product, like gel or juice, it is still not going to be the same as aloe gel squeezed from a fresh aloe leaf because many aloe products on the market are either diluted or improperly processed. While traditional medicine has been using aloe as part of some drugs or cosmetic products for decades, folk medicine has been using aloe for a few thousand years and has built up an impressive collection of home remedies for many ailments.

There are two ways to prepare aloe gel at home: a regular method and a biogenic stimulation method. The biogenic stimulation method is very easy to do at home. It is a powerful weapon against tumors and serious illnesses, like stomach cancer, tuberculosis, radiation burns and mastopathy. This method was proven scientifically in 1930s and has already been successfully used by traditional and folk medicines in treating various diseases in the last 70 years.

Aloe vera can be used externally and internally.

Aloe vera gel used externally helps with acne, sunburns, thermal and radiation burns, boils, dandruff, gum sores, dermatitis, edemas, hemorrhoids, inflammation in the eyes, insect bites and stings, psoriasis, skin rashes and irritations, ulcers, varicose veins, warts, wounds and wrinkles. When you apply freshly squeezed aloe vera gel on the affected area of the skin, it creates a protective coating which speeds up the healing process, decreases swelling and redness, reduces inflammation, relieves pain, promotes synthesis of collagen in tissue and prevents blisters in case of burns.

Taken internally, it reduces inflammation which is involved in such diseases as ulcerative colitis, arthritis, and gastritis, helps with the reduction of blood sugar with both type I and II diabetes and has a powerful healing effect on AIDS, cancer, tumors and many different immune system disorders. Mucopolysaccharides found in aloe vera are very effective intracellular antioxidants which is very important in preventing and treating arteriosclerosis, heart disorders and Parkinson's disease.

Today home remedies have become more and more popular because people have become aware of the harmful side effects of synthetic drugs.

If you are interested in treating your health problems naturally, with home remedies that cost just pennies, download today the report Aloe - Your Miracle Doctor, which is filled with over 150 tested home remedies.

Over Training - ALOE VERA And Probiotics

Over training, also described as chronic fatigue, burnout and staleness has been defined as an imbalance between physical and/or psychological stress, training or competition and recovery. Early stages of over training result from 'too much throttle and no breaking' and are called the orthosympathetic form whilst in more advanced stages, your orthosympathetic tone gets exhausted enabling its opposite number, the parasympathetic system to become dominant.

The orthosympathetic overtrainee is in permanent 'fight or flight' mode. Both fight and flight should be incidental challenges during which your adrenal glands pump out hormones like adrenaline (epinephrine), noradrenalin (norepinephrine) and cortisol, whilst indirectly raising human growth hormone (HGH) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). These glands however are sprinter organs, they were not designed to cope with a marathon.

The parasympathetic over trainee mimics some of Addison's disease symptoms hence it is referred to as Addisonoid over training. The marathon of fight and flight has exhausted the adrenal sprinter glands and they now fail to regulate hormonal concentrations properly, this now is a serious problem. On routine blood work the overtainee is likely to show progressive anemias with low haemoglobin and low haematocrit.

Athletes primarily complain of under performance of course, other common symptoms are progressively susceptibility to common infections and injury, persistent high levels of fatigue, heavy muscles and depression. As said, an athletes' reaction to under performance is often to increase training rather than to rest which exacerbates their recovery deficit (I am tired, but I feel better after exercise, so I exercise is the strategic equivalent of flogging a dead horse). Often symptoms are ignored until performance is chronically affected.

Sleep disturbances like having difficulty in getting to sleep, waking up in the night and waking un-refreshed are experienced by some 90% of athletes suffering from over training. Other symptoms include loss of appetite, loss of weight, loss of competitive drive, increased emotional instability such as depression, anxiety, irritability and mental exhaustion, poor attitude to training and musculoskeletal soreness.

A simple DIY monitoring system is by checking the morning heart rate. Take your pulse immediately upon waking whilst still in bed. If your waking pulse any day is elevated by more than 8 beats/minute above its average level for the preceding week you are falling into over training.

Alternatively check your morning body weight, the weekly average weight should not vary by more than 2lbs. If it drops by more than 3lbs on any day from a previous stable body weight you are falling into over training.

As far as laboratory tests go, a useful immunological marker for excessive exercise is salivary IgA whilst a useful stress marker is Cortisol/DHEA. The stress hormones Cortisol and DHEA are not released constantly throughout the day, but are secreted in a cycle called the circadian rhythm (highest values being in the morning and the lowest at night). When the adrenal glands become exhausted (parasympathetic phase) Cortisol and DHEA in the blood stream become imbalanced. Adrenal Stress Index uses four saliva samples to measure the adrenal rhythm and gives you a DHEA to Cortisol correlation. Of course hypothalamic-pituitary impairment of the corticotrophic axis causing adrenal insufficiency should be taken into account and specific testing of hypothalamus and pituitary gland may be considered.

Three common pathways for over training are:
  • intensity / load excess
  • recovery deficit
  • nutritional deficiency

To remedy the first two you need to lower stress load and increase recovery time. In severe over training athletes should stop training entirely for 7-14 days, increase sleep to 9 hours of solid sleep a night and increase broad spectrum antioxidant intake to 200% of usual intake.

To support the adrenal glands you can supplement with good quality organic glandular extracts from government inspected, New Zealand or Australia free range animals that have not been fed hormones or antibiotics. Or you can use a complex homeopathic remedy like Glandula Suprarenalis Suis-Injeel (Forte). Appropriate supplementation with good quality DHEA should only be considered if an abnormal adrenal stress test dictates this.

To remedy the last point you need to combine a right-for-you wholefood diet and should consider Aloeride® and probiotics. Combined ignorance and arrogance has many athletes train 3 - 4x /wk without fuelling their bodies appropriately. The famous 5Ps: poor preparation produces poor performance open the gates towards over training, injury, degenerative changes and illness.

Improving the immune system of athletes helps reduce the number and length of infections suffered by them. The large, highly immune modulating aloeride fraction within Aloeride® together with good probiotics do exactly that. Also they improve the uptake of necessary nutrients. A double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over trial - published in Br J Sports Med. 2008 Feb 13 - was conducted in Australia over a four-month period of winter training of twenty healthy, elite male distance runners. The conclusion was that prophylactic administration of probiotics was associated with a substantial reduction in the number of days and severity of respiratory illness in a cohort of highly trained distance runners likely due to a two-fold (p=0.07) greater change in whole-blood culture interferon gamma (IFN-fx) compared with placebo.

Athletes, anoraks or anybody else suffering from an imbalance between physical and/or psychological stress, training or competition and recovery should change that balance, and ingest Aloeride®, probiotics and highly absorbable wholefood nutrition to recover.

5 ALOE VERA Juice Recipes That Make You Feel Great

Why Raw Juice?

We all know it's about fresh, raw, natural, organic, tasty, invigorating, nutrient and vitamin-rich goodness when it comes to juicing at home. However, what you may not know is adding a little fresh Aloe Vera Gel to your daily fresh juice can give you a fantastic boost of energy (and not just short term), as well as turn your tasty treat into a downright health tonic you won't want to miss out on. You can easily make-your-own juice in minutes in your own kitchen from the freshest produce you can get your hands on.

Raw juices of fruits and vegetables are extremely rich in vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes and beneficial phytochemicals (plant chemicals). These juices act as cleansing agents eliminating toxins and other unwanted morbid matter from the system immediately. Raw juices are easily digested and absorbed and are also superb for those with a poor appetite, nausea, digestive problems or an inflamed stomach or intestines. They have proved to be effective in the treatment of a number of disorders and diseases including Liver, Heart, Kidney, Colds, Flu, Arthritis, Acne, Colitis, Diarrhea, Insomnia, Obesity plus many more.

Raw juices are absorbed by the blood-stream within about 10 minutes after ingestion, making you feel alert, wide awake and refreshed. It is the most perfect fuel because it's easily assimilated and tends to cleanse and nurture the body while supplying it with a full range of essential nutrients. Fresh juice naturally detoxifies and heals the body by stimulating and healing the elimination and detoxification organs such as the gallbladder, liver, intestines and kidneys. Fresh fruit and vegetable juice as well as Aloe Vera Gel are also highly alkalinizing, thereby impeding the growth of harmful bacteria and virus in the body.

Of course there are dozens of juicing recipes around, which can all have a dash of Aloe Vera Gel added. You won't need much to get started on your Aloe Vera juicing journey, just some great fresh fruit and vegetables of your choice, or those I have suggested below, a juicer (available at most good department stores), an aloe vera plant (bought from a reputable nursery to ensure it is actual Aloe Vera also known as Aloe Barbadensis), and you're on your way.

Recipe To Make Your Own Aloe Vera Gel

Firstly get a nice size Aloe Vera plant from a reputable plant nursery. Cut a few thick fleshy leaves at the base near the stem. Rinse the cut part of the leaf thoroughly, peel off outer layer of skin. Rinse the remaining gel to get rid of any latex residue. Put the gel into a blender and add a little Vitamin C powder or Citric Acid powder to stabilize the gel. If it is too thick to blend, just add a little purified water.

Please take note: for internal use of Aloe Vera make sure you rinse off the brown exudate, called latex, from the open cut of the leaf as well as the gel, as this can have a strong (and usually unwanted) laxative effect. If done properly you shouldn't have a problem. I have been using Aloe Vera from my garden for years now, and by being meticulous about rinsing it properly I haven't had an issue with it. Usually keeps in the fridge for a few weeks, depends on your fridge of course.

5 Aloe Vera Juice Recipes:

1. Carrot-A-Licious

This one is a definite family favourite. Easy to drink, sweet and downright yummy.

2 Carrots 2 Green Apples (or any apples you have)
1 Orange (peeled)
Put ingredients though a juicer, add 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel, drink immediately.

2. Pineapple Paradise

Seeing as I live in the tropics, I'm very partial to this combination. I also sometimes add a few tablespoons of Coconut Milk to increase the anti-bacterial and anti-viral content. This is a must-try.

1 to 2 Cups Fresh Pineapple
1 Carrot
1 Green Apple
Put ingredients though a juicer, add 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel, drink immediately.

3. Zippy Zinger

If you love the tropics, you'll love this one. Easy on the tummy.

A small piece of Ginger (to taste)
2 Carrots 2 Pears
Half a small Red Papaya (known as Pawpaw in Australia)
Put ingredients though a juicer, add 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel, drink immediately.

4. Beetroot Bliss

A great pick-me-up tonic. If you are unfamiliar with beetroot juice go easy at first, use just a small wedge. It can be a little overpowering. Tastes rich and earthy.

One quarter of small beetroot
2 large carrots
1 stalk of celery
Put ingredients though a juicer, add 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel, drink immediately.

5. Cranberry Quencher

For those of you lucky enough to have this powerful fruit available to you fresh, I have included this recipe. Genuine cranberry juice is a powerful weapon in fighting colds and flu as well as being renowned for it's benefits to kidney function. Fresh cranberry juice is far superior nutritionally to the bottled on-the-shelf variety.

As Cranberries have a heavy acid content, when juicing, use one or two handfuls in a glass. Fill the rest with freshly juiced apple, otherwise it will be too tart. Put ingredients though a juicer, add 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel, drink immediately.

A Bit About The Raw Ingredients

Apples: A good source of Vitamin A in the form of Beta-Carotene, Vitamin C, vitamin K and Folate, plus smaller amounts of Vitamin B1 (thiamine), B2, B3, Biotin and Vitamin E. A note on Apples Pips/Seeds: Apple pips contain small amounts of Cyanide. While you would need to eat an awful lot of apples to suffer any ill effects, I like to remove the apple cores along with pips when juicing.

Beetroot: A good source of Folic Acid and Vitamin C, plus they contain small amounts of Vitamins B1, B2, B3, and Vitamin A in the form of Beta-Carotene.

Carrots: Very high in Vitamin A - this comes in the safe form of Beta-Carotene which the body is able to convert to Vitamin A as required. Also contains Vitamin K and Vitamin C, plus smaller amounts of the B complex vitamins and Vitamin E.

Cranberries: Rich in Antioxidants and the chemical Quinine which is used to treat arthritis.

Ginger : Stimulates circulation and aids digestion it can also ease motion sickness and nausea.

Oranges: As well as being an excellent source of Vitamin C, orange juice contains Vitamin A, Potassium, Calcium, and Phosphorous. It even contains small amounts of all the essential amino acids which the body can use to make and repair healthy tissue and muscles.

Papaya: Known as "the medicine tree" in Africa, rich in Beta-Carotene and Soluble Fibre, while papain, an enzyme extracted from papaya, aids digestive problems.

Pears: Promote cardiovascular and colon health. The Copper in pears stimulates white blood cells to fight infections.

Pineapple: An excellent source of Vitamin C, Folate, Vitamin A, vitamin K, and B complex vitamins (not B12) and Bromelain which is a powerful digestive enzyme that can destroy bad bacteria and parasites, help digest protein, and may prevent the formation of blood clots. It is also a natural anti-inflammatory and is known to reduce swelling and inflammation in the body, beneficial for arthritis suffers, and to promote healing after injury.

The above recipes are not recommended to replace medical care and attention, they are intended for general use only. If you have health concerns or are on any medications please consult your health care professional before attempting to use any of the above recipes.

5 Aloe Vera Juice Recipes That Make You Feel Great are just to get you started, go ahead and experiment with your own favourite fruits and vegetables and don't forget the Aloe.

How Does ALOE VERA Juice Help With Constipation?

Aloe vera (in house, Belgium)
Aloe vera (in house, Belgium)
Aloe vera is known to be a very popular remedy for lots of diseases. It has also been proven to be effective in curing constipation. The juice that comes from the herb leaf is a good tool to help relax the muscles in the digestive tract. This will help to regulate the movement of the stomach and the rest of the digestive system. It is pretty understandable how aloe vera juice helps with constipation because of the many benefits we get from the herb.

It helps promote regular bowel movements which in turn will relief constipation problems. It also has big effects in the colon. When the colon is always cleansed, the bowel movement will regulate and perform well in the flushing of toxins out of the body. These toxins are actually what cause the constipation.

When there are no bowel and toxins left inside the body, you will always be free of constipation. That is what the aloe vera juice does. It has enzymes that restore the healthy bacteria in the digestive tract. That way, there would be a balance against the bad bacteria that are ruining the movement inside the stomach and the intestines.

There are also findings of how aloe vera juice helps with constipation by healing the damaged walls inside the digestive system. Due to the toxins that are trapped inside, the cell walls are being damaged. If we take aloe vera juice regularly, it will be cured effectively. The antifungal and antibacterial compounds in the herb help treat the damaged areas inside the digestive system. This will help regulate all the movements inside.

To make the aloe vera juice, mix in pure aloe vera gels. You can get these directly from the herb plant. Just cut the leaves open and then take the inside part. Add water to the gel. Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease that normally triggers inflammation in the intestines. This illness can attack any part of the GI tract right from the mouth to the anus, but mostly it occurs in the lower portion of the small intestine known as ileum. It is an illness that occurs both in men and women and is sometimes hereditary.

One of the best trouble free solutions to this illness is to use Aloe Vera. You can use aloe Vera in the form of pills that are available in the market today. They are called Aloeride and are one of the most well tolerated drugs available now. This drug is actually the most natural form of Aloe Vera that is produced in the market today.

If you continue consuming Aloeride for quite a long time regularly, the indications of Crohn's disease can be lessened to an extent. Actually there is no complete cure for Crohn's disease; you can only try to find some respite from the uneasy indications of this illness. But Aloe Vera has been proved to make the life of Crohn's victims much easier and normal.

Aloeride comes in the form of capsules and this implies that that the capsules will not spilt open before it reaches the stomach. Aloe Vera is found to be extremely soothing and aids to relax and loosen up the large intestine. There is absolutely no laxative property in this pill and this is a great benefit as diarrhea is very often a symptom of this disease. Aloeride has the ability to rinse out and mend the lining of the digestive tract in addition to reinstate the actual working of the digestive system. Another big advantage of this pill is that it is completely free of adverse effects.

The Most Potent Form of ALOE VERA

There are many forms of aloe vera supplements on the market today including pills, liquid, aloe juice, and freeze dried soluble powders. If you do your due diligence and seek information you will reach the obvious conclusion that freeze dried aloe is by far the most effective way to absorb the benefits into your system.

The consumer has to be careful because not all freeze dried aloe vera is the same.  The most potent freeze dried aloe vera is produced from the pure aloe gel.  This will give the product the highest range of molecular weight possible. The more complete the molecular weight, the more complete the healing properties will be.

By hand filleting the gel off the Aloe leaf and combining other proprietary extraction and mixing techniques, there is one company named 21st Century Aloe Vera that produces freeze dried powder containing all the healing advantages of the fresh plant in a concentrated form. 7-8 gallons of fresh gel make 1 ounce of this product!  The biggest whole leaf juice competitor contains 97% of its molecular weights under 150,000 Daltons, which makes it almost useless in terms of healing properties.

Other more advanced freeze dried competitors do better with 99% of its molecular weight up to 1,000,000 Daltons.  But they use alcohol in their antiquated freeze dried process while 21st Century Aloe Vera uses none.  10% of 21st Century Aloe Vera has molecular weights from 1,000,000 to 2,500,000 Daltons.  You can't find a more complete or potent aloe vera product anywhere.

In the rest of the aloe vera industry there are not very many products that actually offer anything more than 150,000 Daltons in molecular weights, a long way off any meaningful healing result.

Only the gel from aloe vera should be used for human consumption and not the whole leaf. All whole leaf products contain broken down MPS (Mucilaginous Poly Saccharide) molecules and therefore no real healing properties. Even worse than this is that whole leaf supplements contain caustic minerals and enzymes that are very hard on the stomach.  Freeze dried products made only from the gel are very soothing and healing to the stomach.

MPS from the aloe plant is the sticky portion of the plant. It is a long sugar molecule arranged in long linear chains. The longer the chain, the more MPS weights. The MPS molecule ranges from 10,000 to 2,500,000 Daltons. For all the healing effects to be available in an aloe vera supplement, all the molecular weight ranges need to be there.

Unfortunately, there are not very many aloe vera products on the market that actually offer anything more than a few thousand Daltons in molecular weights of the MPS molecule. By hand filleting the gel off the leaf, freeze drying with a proprietary method of mixing the powder including the vast and complete range of MPS molecular weights 21st Century Aloe Vera contains all the healing advantages of the fresh plant.

Aloe Vera is a wonderful, necessary supplement for good health and well being.  It's anti-inflammatory, blood sugar balancing, anti-pathogenic, free radical scavenging, and immune modulating.  As such it's extremely effective in bolstering and balancing the immune system.

AIDS is a bell weather disease regarding the immune system because the HIV virus launches a direct attack upon it.  Any product that positively affects the symptoms of this disease can certainly positively affect any other attack on the immune system.

Because of it's potency in terms of it's purity and absorption into the body, a freeze dried product made from the gel only repairs the immune system in a universal fashion resulting in the reversal of countless number of conditions and diseases.  If a powerfully destructive disease like AIDS can be reversed with a natural treatment that repairs the immune system in a universal fashion, then literally all disease will benefit from this type of treatment.

Growing ALOE VERA Plants Indoors

Long before aloe vera was a popular ingredient in over-the-counter cosmetics and medications it grew naturally out of doors or was cultivated indoors for its medicinal properties. Aloe vera is easy to grow indoors, and when you grow it yourself, you know you are getting the real, soothing, active ingredient that you want. Following are instructions for growing it indoors.

Home for Aloe vera plants is warm, humid, sub-tropical climates. If you live in such an environment you can grow these succulent plants outdoors. In the US that would include only zones 10 and 11, the warmest zones in the country. Even if you live in the other zones you can move your plants outdoors in the summer, however; just keep them out of direct sunlight.

Unless you live where you can leave your Aloe vera plants outside all year round, it's best to leave these succulents in their pots, even if they summer outside. It's very disruptive to the root system to plant it and dig it up every year, so just keep the plants potted, in containers with drainage holes.

As succulents, these plants store a lot of water in their leaves. In the summer when they are actively growing they will take a good deal of water. Water them thoroughly, and then wait until they dry out until you water again. These plants will grow slowly if at all during the winter, so they don't need much water. Let the soil get 100 percent dry before watering with a small amount of water. The worst thing to do is to overwater, so if you're not sure how much water to give, you are better off erring on the too little side.

When water runs right through the pot and you see roots coming out the bottom, it's time to repot. Spring is usually a good time for repotting. Because these plants have shallow, spreading root systems they need wider, rather than deeper, pots when their pots get too small. Aloe vera plants need well-drained soil. You can use a commercial potting mix if you add extra perlite or coarse sand to improve the drainage. Or you can you a cactus mix.

You can fertilize your plants in the spring when they start showing new growth. Use fish emulsion or half-strength houseplant fertilizer.

Of course you will want to use the aloe juice for its soothing qualities, especially for delicate skin. It is a valuable addition to the first aid kit. (Just don't keep it in the medicine chest!!) To use it just cut off a piece of lower leaf, slice it open, and squeeze the juice onto the affected area of the skin. Aloe relieves much of the pain of burns and may even prevent or reduce blistering. It lessens the itching that results from bug bites and stings and from nasty plants like poison ivy, poison oak, and stinging nettles. Many people have even used Aloe vera to soothe rashes and stings on their pets with good results. Growing Aloe indoors is easy, and well worth it.
